Adaptive Design Center
The Adaptive Design Center (ADC) is an accessible lab which offers people with disabilities and their families or support staff a place to create or modify equipment. Open by appointment, this lab offers cardboard construction, switch and electronic adaptations, foam and fabric adaptations as well as a variety of other options for making your current equipment more accessible and easier to use.
Fees are generated only to replace supplies. Volunteers are needed to assist in the lab, if you have an interest in simple furniture construction, simple electronic toy repair or adaptations we would be happy to teach you.
Contact us for more information. Courses are offered periodically to instruct in cardboard construction, switch adaptations and other low tech adaptations. Group area is available for instruction.
