Evaluations

Young people using computersDuring one or two meetings and a follow-up session, our professionals will work with you to determine your abilities and suggest appropriate equipment, tools and devices to help you maximize your potential. These evaluations focus on accessibility and physical access to your environment. This may mean through computer access, mobility, recreation, home adaptation and communication devices. We can provide these evaluations at your home, your workplace, your school or here at TEC.

Evaluations are available throughout the state of Maine. Evaluations can be done from birth through the lifespan. Our RESNA Certified team works with the service providers already in place as well as on their own when necessary.

If a full evaluation is not necessary, ongoing consultations are available to assist you in implementing Assistive Technology into your daily routine. Consultation involves working with the person with a disability and/or with their caregivers and service providers to implement new strategies to improve independence.

Following evaluations and consultations, ongoing assistive technology service provision may be necessary, this may take place as needed weekly, monthly, or quarterly to assist the team to move forward with the new technology.

Please call or e-mail us to make an appointment.
