Become a Member
Anyone is welcome to visit the TEC Center and browse our shelves of equipment, there is no fee for this. To use the equipment, borrow it for use at home, school, or work you must become a member or be within an assessment process with TEC staff.
Become a member of the TEC and you will be able to borrow equipment for your personal use or for your use with your clients. Membership fees assist us to maintain the equipment, batteries and inventory program. Membership entitles you to reduced rates at conferences we offer, newsletters, email updates, use of the TEC computers and software such as Boardmaker for designing your own symbols.
$50 Individual: this one year membership is designed for a person with a disability or their family. This fee may be paid by the family or by a supporting agency such as child development services, case management or school system. Gift Certificates are also available to cover this fee, a favorite of grandparents at Christmas! Limited scholarship money is available, contact TEC staff for more information.
$125 Professional: This includes physical, occupational, speech, developmental therapists, case managers, in home support workers, school system personnel, hospital staff, group homes and day programs. One membership for the staff person to use the equipment with their caseload on an individual basis in a therapeutic manner.
$350 School/Business: This fee entitles a business, school, hospital, group home, etc to have 8 staff and or families each have individual memberships for one year.
